Mexico City

Frampton Co experienced the food, art and architecture of this capital city. The city’s changing skyline is most evident at the end of Paseo de la Reforma, where two dramatic new towers overlook Chapultepec Park. Colorful and poetic interiors are revealed behind the strong and subtle exterior walls of Casa Luis Barragan, the very special private home and studio of the great architect. Next door at the Archivo Diseno y Arquitectura, we checked out an exhibition of Italian furniture and industrial design featuring classic pieces by Joe Columbo and Ettore Sottsass. Our stroll through the Nuevo Polanco neighborhood brought us to new cultural institutions the Museo Soumaya and the Museo Jumex. Fresh al pastor tacos with pineapple and pozole soup were among the culinary delights!
