Revisiting Pink

Pink often gets a reputation for being too saccharine a color but, with the right balance, pink-toned spaces can create a flattering, warm environment for the people within them. In order to achieve a feminine-masculine balance, we combine pink with brown and caramel or cut with black or charcoal for added drama. For our Cococcia bedroom, we took inspiration from Artist Jiri (Georg) Dokoupil, who paints wonderfully buoyant and bright “bubbles” with acrylic and soap on a richly dark canvas. We combined 2 Farrow & Ball paint colors to strike the right balance of warmth and sweetness.
