In July, we said goodbye to our creative studio and office of 12 years. Elena saw 16 different offices in preparation for the expansion, but only this one spoke to her: a large, light-filled penthouse suite with a private terrace overlooking the Manhattan skyline. It felt just right. So we packed up our entire 21st Street location and set up shop in the new space, just a few blocks away on 19th Street.
We couldn’t be happier with the move. Our new NYC studio is crisp, clean, and spacious, with natural light spilling in from every window. The move was scheduled just a few weeks after the opening of our second annual Exhibition The Barn show in Bridgehampton; and with plenty of project site visits throughout the summer, moving into our new home was quite a balancing act.
We eventually unpacked our mountain of boxes and began to settle in. Over the next few weeks we installed new art, furniture, and fixtures. After only a couple months here, it already feels like home: the stocked materials library is in full and constant use, the sunny kitchen is rich with the aroma of coffee, and familiar canvases have been hung in place.
