The Leyton

Upper East Side, New York

With a highly visible location off 63rd street, this high-rise development artfully nods to its landmark neighbors. We created comfortably and luxuriously layered interiors for the building’s collection of 38 full-floor residences. Working across a diversity of spaces, we responded to the unique architectural features of individual units, highlighting grand double-height spaces, and sweeping park and city views.

Across all units, a sense of tailored refinement is enriched with contrast and charismatic moments of discovery. An emphasis on volume and organic materials provide a serene canvas for everyday life, with wide-plank oak flooring, custom millwork, and neutral color palettes throughout. We introduced elements of surprise in a measured way, balancing simplicity and gracious volume with subtly patterned finishes, sculptural lighting, and dramatic, double height stone fireplace surround.

For the penthouse model unit, Frampton Co applied a full interior design strategy. We focused on enhancing the interior with rounded, exploratory forms for smooth visual and physical flow, and engaging the gracious proportions with strategic lighting and art placement. Layering in color and texture, we employed a suite of exclusive paint colors, bespoke floor-to-ceiling wall covering, and patterned fabric and wallpaper selections.
